David Campbell

Director

BSocSci (Psych) , LL.B , LL.M

David is a director at Livingston Leandy and an admitted attorney, notary public and conveyancer. His practice combines commercial, property and tax advisory work with litigation and dispute resolution, enabling him to assist clients in both structuring transactions and resolving disputes.

David advises businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and private clients on corporate restructuring, acquisitions and disposals, shareholder arrangements, and the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements. With a master’s degree in taxation, he brings an integrated commercial and tax perspective to transactions and business structures.

His litigation practice includes commercial and contractual disputes, shareholder and property disputes, administrative and procurement law matters, and employment litigation. He represents clients in High Court and Labour Court proceedings, arbitrations and settlement negotiations, with a focus on protecting their interests and achieving practical, commercially informed outcomes.

In property law, David advises developers, corporate entities and private clients on acquisitions, developments, financing arrangements and property-related agreements. He also oversees commercial and residential conveyancing transactions, drawing on his broader advisory and litigation experience to identify and address potential risks.

David’s approach centres on understanding each client’s objectives and providing clear, practical advice. His experience across transactional work and litigation allows him to consider both the immediate requirements of a matter and its longer-term implications.

Alongside his practice, he lectures part-time in tax law, teaching South African tax principles and their practical application.
