Our team enjoyed an afternoon of tenpin bowling filled with fun and cheer. Each team created a unique team name and rocked creative clothing. We were also honoured to have some LLI retirees join us for the afternoon. The 'Bowling Stones' won the day with the highest score, whilst the 'Pin & Tonic' team won the award for best spirit and the 'The Teenage Dirtbags' won best dressed!

In a departure from previous Womens’ Month celebrations, this year the firm decided to emphasise the importance of wellness and in that vein, invited our female clients to an African themed spa afternoon at Mangwanani, Sibaya. It was a joyful but poignant gathering, as we had the privilege of listening to guest speaker Nandi Manentsa, author of “Untimely Beginnings – Memoirs of Women who Defied Fate”. Nandi’s story is one of re-building strength and resilience, and moving positively with life, a theme that resonates so strongly with many of us. Our guests left feeling relaxed and inspired, and also sprinkled some goodness into the world by contributing generously to our sanitary pad drive, the proceeds of which will benefit the Jess Foord Foundation. LLI had an amazing day outdoors combining melodious beats, ably lead by the African Drumshack. It was an incredible afternoon of cohesive teamwork through rhythm and synchronization of the African drums.

LLI hosted the 30% Club breakfast where discussions were held on Enhanced Well Being through Active Dialogue with a focus on having uncomfortable conversations. The objective was to encourage all to start becoming conversation strategists to try and heal not only as a country, but also as humans after covid and why psychological safety matters.
